What's right for me?

Training an aggressive or reactive dog is essential for their and your well-being and safety.

By using positive reinforcement techniques, you can help them feel more secure and reduce their fear or anxiety.

This process not only improves behavior but also strengthens your bond, creating a happier, more confident companion that you can trust in various situations.

Teaching dogs obedience through agility training is like how children learn to co-operate through sports.

Benefits of Agility training include increased communication between you and your dog, which translates directly into obedience training.

Dogs love this style of training.

More info on my approach to training

Obedience training helps you and your dog learn new skills each week, improving your relationship. It focuses on promoting good behavior and reducing issues through leash handling skills and techniques. This also includes basic agility exercises that can change a dog’s mood and energy, influencing how they react to their surroundings and develop important thinking and problem-solving skills to reduce difficult behaviors.

DIFFICULT BEHAVIOUR

Behavioural potty training

Often happens after moving and additions to the family unit. As the owners, it’s always on us to establish a strict potty schedule, which gives your dog bladder training and control. I also incorporate boundary work in this training for difficult cases.

Potty-training requires obedience work before the issue is resolved because obedience work establishes rules and a communication system between you and your dog. Owners and their dogs are more successful doing potty training and obedience work together.

Dog aggression

Animals need exercise just as much if not more than us humans. If our furry friends are not exercised properly for their breed type they have no way to channel their energy and they become destructive, bored, angry, and depressed. Their brains need stimulation and some breeds need a job to do. Often once we know what our pets need, the aggression stops.

PROGRAM COMPLETION

After your program is complete I recommend that you continue to train as we were training together, especially for difficult breeds. I suggest continuing to go back to the basics. Behaviour is often about leadership and our canine wanting that leadership.

Training is an ongoing and never-ending process, and you’ll have to continue working with your dog after we’re done training together.

My goal is to set you up for success and give you the foundations you need to give your dog their best life.

I’m not only here to train your dog, but more importantly to train you!
